How to show hidden file in macOS

Almost 2 weeks I did not update this blog, today I want to update the tutorial related to MacOS. In this case, I am using macOS Sierra in my Macbook Pro. Even tough you are using the other macOS version, you can use this tutorial, too.

It was started when I wanted to make the USB bootable installer to be installed on a non-Apple laptop. I am curious and indeed I used that for a long time. I was curious again to install the Toshiba Portege laptop that I have.

Back to the topic, for a long time ago, I use application to show hidden file in macOS but I forget what application that I ever used. I try to find an answer in Google and I find the answer in a forum. One member of this forum said that if we want to show hidden, you do it with software and without software. Based on my experience, I want to show you how to show hidden file in macOS.

In this case I take USB Bootable which have been made a few days ago using make USB bootable macOS easily.

  1. Open USB Bootable macOS in flash drive. ( this flash drive is only just for demo, if you find the other case with hidden file, you can do same way ).
  2. You can see installer file in this flash drive, Install OS X Yosemite. In fact, there are some file that is hidden by system.
  3. How to make show them? Now push Command + Shift + . and after this we can see the hidden file in our USB Bootable macOS which I said before.
  4. It’s so easy if we know the way, guys.
  5. Done and we have finish our task.

In fact, it is so easy to do something if we have known the way how to do something like this step to make show hidden file. I suggest to search in Google first and you do not feel hopeless.

That’s all from me about How to show hidden file in macOS, hopefully what I write and share on this blog can be useful for all of us.
